This festival is celebrated in the month karthikai pournami day.We put rangoli and light earthern lamps and big vilakkus. Two days before we clean them.Keep the big vilakku at the entrance of our home and keep the other lamps around the big one. We prepare aval pori nel pori undais and sweet appams and exchange with others. Brother goes to sisiter;s house and give her vattila pakku pazham, money and pori appams.

It is delighted to see the light everywhere.
